SASGO visits the Altro Factory: Insights and Innovation
A few members of the SASGO team had the privilege of visiting the Altro factory in Letchworth Garden City. This visit provided us with a unique opportunity to witness first-hand the innovation and dedication that goes into creating some of the most advanced flooring solutions in the industry today.
An Inside Look at the Manufacturing Process
Our visit began with a tour of the Altro factory floor, where we were able to see the entire manufacturing process up close, from start to finish. It was fascinating to watch the precision and care with which the Altro team produces their flooring products. A particular highlight was seeing the bespoke logo pieces being crafted, showcasing the level of customisation that Altro can offer. This attention to detail on show is a testament to the quality that Altro brings to every project. Our team were blown away by the shear scale of the facility and the intricacies of the machinery in use. We also had the chance to speak to several members of the manufacturing team on the production line who were more than happy to answer any questions we had.
This Letchworth facility is part of Altro's extensive global network, which includes a factory in Germany and offices across Asia, North America, Europe, and Oceania. Their global reach and consistent quality underscore Altro's leadership in providing innovative flooring solutions worldwide.
Engaging with the Customer Care and Sales Team
After the tour, we had the chance to engage with the Altro customer care team, which was especially beneficial for us. Since we work closely with them daily, understanding how they operate helps us better align our processes with theirs. This deeper understanding allows us to be more flexible and responsive to their needs, ensuring smoother transactions and better service for our customers.
We’re always looking to strengthen our relationships with key suppliers like Altro, and meeting their team in person is a big part of that. These face-to-face interactions help us improve communication, anticipate challenges, and work more effectively together to deliver the high standards our customers expect. The insights we gained from Altro's team will undoubtedly enhance our collaboration going forward.

One of the most impressive aspects of our visit was the time spent with the Altro lab team.
