SASGO is currently supporting CB Contracts on an ongoing luxury apartment development in Bermondsey, supplying a range of PROBOND® subfloor preparation products alongside a tailored delivery and project support service.
The Challenge
The Bermondsey development comprises a collection of luxury apartments, requiring high-quality subfloor preparation solutions capable of supporting the installation programme while meeting the standards expected of a premium residential project.
With works progressing across multiple phases, the contractor required dependable product availability, time-specific deliveries, and ongoing support to ensure materials arrived exactly when needed.
Product Selection and Support
As the exclusive distributor of PROBOND® products, SASGO worked closely with CB Contracts to supply PROBOND® PR204 Deep Penetrating Primer, PROBOND® PR200 Multi-Purpose Primer, and PROBOND® FL325 2-Part Flexible Smoothing Compound.
PROBOND® PR204 was selected for its excellent penetrating properties, helping to stabilise and prepare challenging substrates prior to the application of smoothing compounds. Its formulation promotes adhesion and supports the creation of a suitable surface for subsequent flooring installations.
PROBOND® PR200 was used as part of the subfloor preparation process, helping regulate substrate absorbency and create the ideal conditions for the application of smoothing compounds and adhesives.
PROBOND® FL325 was chosen for its versatility and high-performance characteristics. The two-part, latex-based smoothing compound provides excellent flow and flexibility, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and residential substrates. Its rapid strength development and smooth surface finish help support efficient installation programmes while delivering the quality expected on premium residential developments.
Keeping The Project Moving
To support the ongoing programme of works, SASGO coordinated a series of direct-to-site, time-specific deliveries using our own transport fleet. Careful planning ensured products arrived in line with installation schedules, helping to minimise disruption and maintain productivity on site.
Throughout the project, CB Contracts was supported by Key Account Manager Darren Thomas, who acted as a dedicated point of contact from product selection through to delivery coordination. Working closely with the contractor and site team, Darren helped ensure product requirements, delivery schedules, and project communications were managed efficiently.
Alongside dedicated account management, SASGO's experienced Customer Service team provided ongoing support throughout the project, helping to coordinate deliveries and respond quickly to changing site requirements. This collaborative approach helped ensure materials were available when required and allowed the contractor to focus on progressing the installation.
