House of Gods, Canary Wharf

SASGO supported the chosen flooring contractor during the delivery of the House of Gods hotel in Canary Wharf, a high-profile hospitality project within one of London’s most recognisable commercial districts. Located in what is often referred to as “Manhattan-on-Thames”, the development sits within a tightly managed urban environment where access, timing and coordination are critical to maintaining programme momentum.

Product Selection and Support

House of Gods, Canary Wharf

As the exclusive distributor of PROBOND® products, SASGO worked with the chosen flooring contractor to supply PROBOND® PR260 Advanced All-Purpose Primer and PROBOND® FL310 Contract Smoothing Compound.

PROBOND® PR260 is a water-based primer, identifiable by its blue colouring for clear coverage control, designed to enhance adhesion and support consistent performance of levelling compounds. This provided a reliable foundation for subsequent stages of the installation.

PROBOND® FL310 was selected for its high polymer formulation, delivering a smooth, high-quality finish suitable for demanding commercial environments. Its pumpable consistency and compatibility with underfloor heating made it well-suited to the project requirements, while its 2–4 hour walk-on time supported a faster installation cycle. With the ability to accommodate depths of up to 15mm in a single application, the product helped streamline the preparation phase and reduce the need for multiple passes.

Logistics in a High-Profile Location

Operating within Canary Wharf brings a unique set of logistical challenges, including controlled delivery windows, restricted access and the need for precise coordination with site management.

SASGO arranged direct-to-site deliveries using our own FORS Gold accredited fleet, with all deliveries scheduled into pre-agreed timed slots. This ensured materials arrived in line with the contractor’s programme, avoiding congestion and reducing idle time on site.

By aligning deliveries with installation phases and maintaining flexibility where required, SASGO supported the chosen flooring contractor in keeping works progressing efficiently within a tightly managed environment.

Dedicated Support and Communication

Our customer, like all SASGO customers, benefitted from a dedicated point of contact within SASGO, supported by an account manager who remained closely aligned with the project throughout. This ensured continuity in communication, a clear understanding of site requirements and a proactive approach to anticipating demand.

Having a consistent contact streamlined decision-making and reduced the need for repeated briefings, allowing queries to be resolved quickly and deliveries to be coordinated with minimal friction. This level of oversight meant that both product supply and logistics could be managed in a way that supported the contractor’s programme, rather than reacting to it.

Across the House of Gods Canary Wharf project, SASGO’s approach remained focused on making the process straightforward for the customer. By combining technically appropriate products, structured delivery planning and dedicated account support, we helped reduce complexity on site and maintain progress on a landmark hospitality development in central London.
